Obama Rides Bicycle As Economy Implodes

Obama Rides Bicycle As Economy Implodes

On August 27, 2010 I clicked onto the Drudge Report. What I saw was a tad bit infuriating.

There was a long list of news stories about how bad the economy is and how bad it’s going to get.

Then the second item in Drudge’s far left column was a picture of President Obama riding a bicycle. Underneath the image was a link reading “For Obamas, a bike ride and more golf.”

I understand that it’s hard to extrapolate anything negative about the president from the page layout of the Drudge Report. Also, a president can work 20 hours a day in the Oval Office and still be photographed doing something that implies he’s lazy, uncaring, and/or out-of-touch.

Biden: “Now the fun stuff starts!”

Biden: “Now the fun stuff starts!”

Here’s an excerpt from a recent Time.com article, “How The Stimulus Is Changing America.” Before you read it you might want to have some sort of receptacle handy just in case you have to hurl…

But in the words of Vice President Joe Biden, Obama’s effusive Recovery Act point man, “Now the fun stuff starts!” The “fun stuff,” about one-sixth of the total cost, is an all-out effort to exploit the crisis to make green energy, green building and green transportation real; launch green manufacturing industries; computerize a pen-and-paper health system; promote data-driven school reforms; and ramp up the research of the future. “This is a chance to do something big, man!”

The “fun stuff?” By that does Biden mean jobs?

Obama: “We’re Buying Shrimp, Guys”

Obama: “We’re Buying Shrimp, Guys”

ABC’s Jake Tapper blogged on Wednesday that as reporters were asking President Obama questions about the Iraq War, the Vacationer-in-Chief said…

“We’re buying shrimp, guys. Come on.”

Don’t these reporters get it? The president can’t be bothered with questions about soldiers dying at war when he’s picking out a pound of jumbos.

The only thing that could have made this situation more insulting to his constituents? If he had been buying caviar.

As-Salamu Alaykum Mr. President, 1 In 5 Americans Think Obama is a Muslim

As-Salāmu Alaykum Mr. President, 1 In 5 Americans Think Obama is a Muslim

I want my people (Conservatives) to immediately distance themselves from the latest Pew Research Center poll that says 18 percent of Americans believe President Obama is a Muslim.

It’s a distraction and we don’t need it. Time is too tight.

As a Conservative American that wants to see every single policy of Obama’s defeated, let me just say that we don’t need to get bogged down with crap like this.

The president is not a Muslim (I doubt he’s even a Christian). This is a non-issue. It’s nothing more than a diversion that takes our conservative eye off of more serious matters.

President Obama’s Support of Ground Zero ‘Victory Mosque’ A Colossal Mistake

President Obama’s Support of Ground Zero ‘Victory Mosque’ A Colossal Mistake

President Obama has come out in favor of the mosque at Ground Zero.

“As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country. That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances. This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable.”

The president made his remarks at the White House on Aug. 13, 2010 during a ceremony to observe the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Why he publicly supported the Ground Zero mosque is anyone’s guess?

Steven Slater Mania Overwrought, But Somewhat Understandably

Steven Slater Mania Overwrought, But Somewhat Understandably

JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater has become a pseudo-celebrity for his reaction to a passenger who refused to apologize after their luggage accidentally struck him.

Slater entered our modern day lore when he shouted obscenities over the PA system, grabbed a couple of cold ones, and then activated and slid down the emergency escape chute. He quickly disappeared into the chaos of John F. Kennedy Airport only to be arrested later at his residency.

His apparently “defiant” attitude has earned him 90 thousand trillion billion friendsies on Facebook. Despite the fact that I can’t get my own mother to friend me on any social networking site, the number does nothing for me but it sure does make the mainstream media hyperventilate with glee.

Do you really want the internet set on your side? These are the same people who romanticized the “Barefoot Bandit,” blogged about the Watchmen being the best movie ever, and only voted for Obama because they thought he was cool.

Government Run Amuck: Portland Bureaucrats Shut Down Little Girl’s Lemonade Stand

Government Run Amuck: Portland Bureaucrats Shut Down Little Girl’s Lemonade Stand

Saying Portland is liberal is like saying the Rose City gets a little rain every now and then.

It rains frequently in Portland and the city is full of tree-hugging, Bush-bashing, Saul Alinsky-reading liberals. These lefties care more about the environment than jobs, they care more about bicycles than cars, and they caring more about street urchins than small business owners.

All this misplaced bleeding-heart compassion creates a lot of government. And with all that government running around comes man’s most feared demon. A monster so horrible that it isn’t one of the horsemen of the Apocalypse, it’s a combination of all four. This scourge of humanity is the bureaucrat.

Now, liberals may produce a bunch of these demonic bureaucrats but I will say one thing for the smelly hippies, they’re laid back, informal, and polite (as long as they think you’re one of them). Those qualities only add to the frustration of the following story…

WikiLeaks Documents Resume Debate Between National Security and Right To Know

WikiLeaks Documents Resume Debate Between National Security and Right To Know

The 91,000 secret U.S. military documents that wound up on the WikiLeaks website have put U.S. troops and Afghan informants in danger.

On a much less serious note, the leaks have caused us to once again examine the struggle between national security and the public’s right to know.

Wait a second. Did I write “us.” I’m sorry; I meant to write “liberals” because for conservatives it isn’t a struggle.

If documents need to remain secret to save lives—to keep Americans and American allies safe—then there is no struggle. The documents MUST remain secret.

America’s War On Obesity: The Poor Are Fat Because They’re Lazy, Undisciplined, & Apathetic

America’s War On Obesity: The Poor Are Fat Because They’re Lazy, Undisciplined, & Apathetic

Americans are fat.

According to figures released by the Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the obesity rate tops 25 percent in two-thirds of the states.

Yawn.

While being “obese” is a generally a bad thing, the indignation our country has over its girth seem a bit overdone. It’s a problem vastly exaggerated by liberals so they can control more of our lives.

Judge Who Reversed Obama’s Deepwater Drilling Moratorium Has Ties To Energy Companies

Judge Who Reversed Obama’s Deepwater Drilling Moratorium Has Ties To Energy Companies

Liberals are all in a tizzy because U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman, the juror who granted a preliminary injunction against President Barack Obama’s six-month moratorium on deepwater drilling, has ties with… wait for it… wait for it… oil companies!!!

Feldman owned roughly $15,000 in Transocean Ltd. stock. That company owned the Deepwater Horizon rig that exploded April 20, killing 11 workers and triggering the worst oil spill disaster in U.S. history.

Feldman also invested in Halliburton (cue ominous music).
